I began shooting dance because I am in love with its ethereal beauty. The aesthetic of dance is unique to every other art form. In no other discipline on earth can mankind find such an all-surpassing yet fleeting splendor. Until the advent of modern flash photography, there was no way to capture dance in all its depth. It remained an enigma, something in-between a sport and an art form, existing somewhere on the plane between sculpted works of art and classical masterpieces of music. So much of the mystery of dance remains to be captured, and I intend to capture it by every means possible...

Audition Package

Required for entrance to most dance competitions, summer intensives, & pre-professional year-round programs.

• We require the model (or parent/legal guardian in the case of minors) to sign a model release prior to every photo shoot.

• Upon purchasing our five (5) hour package, additional hours & images may be purchased at a reduced hourly rate.

• For group sessions, add $150.00 per additional head, per hour, to the price of any of the above packages.

Productions

One Flat rate package

Jos offers a simple package for photographing full-length ballet concerts & dance galas worldwide. The client will receive 50-150 edited high-definition photos for non-commercial use (social media and the internet). We only ask that you credit Jos Moody by name & backlink.

The cost of this service is USD 1500, plus round trip airfare from Los Angeles & two nights of hotel accommodations for each day of service requested.

If editorial or commercial rights are required, we will be happy to negotiate a flat rate or a commission-based fee, depending on the extent of your project. Please discuss this with Jos at your convenience, or contact him using our contact page with any questions or concerns.
